Face
detection method is already common in the world of photography, but different
case in the video world. Usually the face detection method in the video only in
a specific project or research. But this time the Google will also implement
them. Google filed a patent on the technology and methods of face recognition
in video.
The
method used is collection of frames in video capture to produce a person's face
shape. After knowing look of someone's face from various angles, Google can
identify the person's face in the video is playing.
The
implementation of this method is likely to be applied on the YouTube website.
Users can later mark (tag) name of the video. This mark features similar to
several social networking sites in general.
Another
implementation of this method can be applied to Google's Project Glass. This
method of recognizing someone’s faced and obtains information about the person.
However, it remains unclear whether the implementation of which will be
implemented by Google.
